Kitayama Park Iris Festival













Higashi-murayama Kitayama Park est un parc naturel situé sur les collines de Sayama,non loin de Tokyo, connues pour avoir inspiré les décors du film d'animation de miyazaki, "mon voisin Totoro". Dans cet espace de plus de 8000 m2 se tient chaque été le festival de l'iris durant lequel on peut admirer 100 000 fleurs de 170 variétés.
Higashi-murayama Kitayama Park is a natural park located within Sayama Hills, which is known for the hometown of the image of Totoro, the famous Miyazaki animation character, and the park is designated as a New Tokyo 100 Landmarks. Rich green, water and flowers of every season surround the spacious land of around 8,000 square meters. Above all, 170 types of 100,000 irises in bloom attract a great number of visitors in early summer.
